Vision

The Sool and magalir maruthuvam department in maria Siddha medical college and hospital focuses on woman’s health specially related to pregnancy and treatment of conditions affecting the female reproductive organs. The department provides services for the reproductive health and gynecological needs of women starting from puberty, child bearing age, pregnancy, post partum, perimenopausal, menopausal and post menopausal period.
                            The department has a well experienced teams of professor, associate professor and assistant professor, resident doctors and well trained staff nurses to handle all obstretic and gynecological patients with its outpatient, inpatient and special outpatient services.
                           Faculty members of the department are well – trained and highly motivated. Their activities include patient care, teaching, research and specialization in imaging Siddha procedures related to gynecology.
                           Students gain adequate experience, knowledge and confidence in studies and Siddha procedures.
                           Special OPD’S are conductedfor managing PCOS every Tuesday and special medicines are provided. Special medical camps are conducted every month in the adopted village and awareness programmes are conducted in these areas.
